Priska is a graduate of the massage therapy program at Kikkawa College in Toronto, and is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Prior to becoming an RMT, Priska was previously a Shiatsu therapist, graduating from the Shiatsu School of Canada (now AIM Academy). She has also completed her 5th year at the Canadian College of Osteopathy.

With her extensive manual therapy background, Priska’s approach to treatment combines the modalities of Shiatsu, osteopathic manual therapy and Swedish massage. She is able to blend these practices together and offers a comprehensive approach in her treatment. Her style ranges from relaxation to deep tissue, always keeping the needs of the client in mind. Treating the client, not the pathology.

Having grown up in an active family, this has carried on with mountain bike and cyclocross racing later on in life. Priska has stopped racing and now focuses on bicycle touring and road riding. She’s also fulfilled a life-long dream, of riding horses and now owns her own horse.

Racing bikes and riding horses has come with its fair share of injuries, so she understands how important rehabilitation and safe-care is. Due to some of the injuries, she has had to deal with chronic pain. This has now led her to study Pain Science and move towards an evidence informed massage practice.

Self-care, such as regular massage has allowed her to get back on the bike/horse and continue enjoying an active life.
