We offer various massage techniques including deep tissue, sports massage, pre-natal and post-natal massage, Thai massage, maintenance, rehabilitation, relaxation, and more.

Temporomandibular Dysfunction (TMD), commonly referred to as TMJ disorder, encompasses a range of conditions affecting the temporomandibular joint and its associated structures. These conditions can cause symptoms such as jaw pain, clicking, headaches, and muscle tension around the jaw. Following an initial assessment you and your physiotherapist will devise a personalized treatment plan to get you started.

Here’s how physiotherapy can effectively address TMD:

--Manual Therapy: Physiotherapists employ hands-on techniques to restore pain-free range of motion at the TMJ. This includes off-loading the irritated TMJ and enabling proper gliding within the joint.
--Soft Tissue Massage and Stretching: Tight jaw and neck muscles contribute to TMD. Physiotherapists use hands-on soft tissue massage and stretching to alleviate muscle tension and improve flexibility.
--Jaw Relaxation Techniques: Training patients in jaw relaxation techniques helps release excessive tension in the chewing muscles. This relaxation promotes better jaw function and reduces discomfort.
--Addressing Underlying Issues: Physiotherapy aims to identify and address the root causes of TMD. Whether it’s postural dysfunction of the cervical spine or muscle imbalances, targeted treatment can significantly improve symptoms.
